LifeSimplified OS Privacy Policy
1. Overview
LifeSimplified OS (“LifeSimplified OS”, “we”, “our”, “the Platform”) is published by LifeSimplified OS, LLC and is designed to protect household privacy. We do not sell your information or use connected provider data for advertising. When you sign in or enable sync, data flows between your device and the cloud services you choose (such as Google Drive or Calendar) to power the features you turn on.
LifeSimplified OS is a client-side operating system. You bring your own identity and your own storage. LifeSimplified OS is not designed to own or retain your household content.
2. What LifeSimplified OS Does Not Do
LifeSimplified OS does not:
- Sell, rent, or trade your personal information
- Use your data for advertising or behavioral profiling
- Store your Google or Microsoft passwords or OAuth secrets
- Upload your full photo libraries, document archives, or email inboxes to our servers
- Run third-party advertising trackers on the public homepage or in the signed-in app
When you connect Google or another provider, LifeSimplified OS accesses only the data needed for features you enable (see Section 5). That data is used to provide app functionality — not for unrelated purposes.
3. What LifeSimplified OS Stores
LifeSimplified OS stores encrypted metadata locally on your device or in your chosen cloud provider. Examples include encrypted pointers to files in Google Drive or OneDrive, encrypted metadata about routines and household records, encrypted household relationships, and subscription tier metadata (not payment card data).
Sensitive metadata is encrypted client-side before storage where applicable.
4. Bring Your Own Identity (BYOI)
You may authenticate directly with Google or Microsoft.
We do not receive your provider password. For sign-in, LifeSimplified OS receives your provider profile (such as name and email) and a secure session token managed by the provider SDK — used only to identify your account and household membership.
5. Google Sign-In and Google APIs
If you sign in with Google or enable Google integrations in Settings, LifeSimplified OS requests access to specific Google APIs. Each scope is tied to a feature you choose:
- Profile & email — account creation, household linking, and display name
- Google Calendar — read and write calendar events you sync for household scheduling
-
Google Drive (
drive.file) — read and write files in app-created folders for encrypted metadata backups; we do not access your entire Drive - Google Tasks — sync task lists you connect for daily planning
- Google Sheets — access spreadsheets you authorize for household lists and exports
- Google Photos (read-only) — display albums you select for memories and trip features
- Google Contacts (read-only, optional) — suggest invitees when you enable contact suggestions
LifeSimplified OS does not use Google user data for serving ads, selling to data brokers, or determining creditworthiness or lending eligibility. You can revoke access in Settings → Providers or at Google Account permissions.
LifeSimplified OS's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy , including the Limited Use requirements.
6. Bring Your Own Storage (BYOS)
Your files remain in Google Drive or OneDrive. LifeSimplified OS stores pointers, not file contents.
7. Household Visibility
Household members can see records only where household roles and module permissions allow sharing. Household admins are responsible for inviting the right people and offboarding members.
8. AI Providers
If you connect an AI provider, LifeSimplified OS does not store prompts or responses on LifeSimplified OS-owned servers by design.
9. Billing & Payments
If you subscribe, billing is handled by Stripe. LifeSimplified OS does not store payment methods or card numbers; we receive subscription status metadata only.
10. Data Deletion
You may disconnect your identity provider, remove LifeSimplified OS from your device, and delete LifeSimplified OS metadata from your cloud provider. Provider-side data must be deleted using those providers' account controls.
11. Children's Privacy
LifeSimplified OS does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as LifeSimplified OS evolves. Updates will be posted on this page.
